Balmain launches #BalmainEnsemble
Season after season, Balmain has greatly appreciated the loyal support of its many followers. Now, the House wishes to repay the favor. As we all navigate our way through the next few weeks, even though we may be physically apart, Balmain hopes to ensure that we can continue to share the best of ourselves.
To help make that possible, Balmain is proud to announce its latest initiative, #BalmainEnsemble, which aims to publish stories, inspirations and creations from members of the Balmain family, as well as from a host of close friends and respected artists.
"It’s very clear: we belong together."
We belong together, even when we’re apart.
Together, we are one.
Together, we are strong.
Together, we are love.

THE ARCHIVES: BALMAIN WOMEN FW14
While we stay home, let’s relive the best moments from the Balmain’s archives with creative director Olivier Rousteing, starting with Balmain FW14. “The FW14 collection was the beginning of so many things, I expressed a creative vision that I still push today.” Here’s a look back at the Balmain FW14 campaign collection inspired by Africa.
We started the Balmain Army when I realised we had to fight and go against the rules to make a revolution in Fashion. At that time Fashion to me was not representing the world we live in, there was so little diversity and I had to push hard all agencies and casting directors to have a more diverse casting.

"When we did this photoshoot [...] with Rihanna, Iman Bowie and Naomi Campbell it was definitely a dream come true.Three strong beauties from different generations, such powerful women, I knew this moment was going to be iconic."

THE ARCHIVES: WOLVES / MET 2016
I had a dream in my life, it was to create a fashion moment mixed with a music moment. Of course to do that, you need to love a song, to love an artist and to mix smne that is so avant garde and that has such a strong vision.
‘Kanye is a visionary, more than a friend he’s someone that inspires me for my fashion, the clothes that I’m creating but as well for the vision of fashion, beyond the clothes’
Olivier Rousteing
'I cannot thank her enough, she flew from Cuba to NY, to shoot only 4h with us, to fly right after to LA. These people are humble and generous friends, that want to be part of an iconic moment.’
